About Sifu Jared:

Dr. Jared Ramsburg, a senior representative of Sifu Cass Magda, started training in Jeet Kune Do, Silat, Kali, and Wing Chun in 2001 with Sifu’s Wayne Jackson and Ron Hebb. He continued training with them and Sifu Tylus Quan Do until 2005. His first exposure to Sifu Cass Magda was at Henderson Hall MI seminar in 2002. This was followed by many seminars and a visit to Magda Institute in 2004.

He moved to Santa Clarita to train with Sifu Victor Del Rosario at Academy of South East Asian Martial Arts in the summer of 2005. Sifu Jared trained and taught classes there for several years before shifting to training primarily at Magda Institute with Sifu Cass Magda when he moved to Northridge, CA in 2009. He later moved to Chicago in 2011 to pursue a doctorate and opened a martial arts school–Combative Arts Academy as a representative of Magda Institute. Sifu Jared maintained the school for 5 years before moving to Silicon Valley in 2016 with a newly acquired PhD in Cognitive Psychology.

He continued to teach martial arts workshops, some martial arts classes, private students, and continued to come back to Magda Institute over the years. Sifu Jared is currently teaching workshops in the greater Chicagoland area, pick-up classes in the Joliet/Plainfield area and serves as a guest instructor in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii during visits to the Island.
